Can Men have opinions about Romance books

How to Write Men in Romance Novels

http://authorzoo.com.au/2015/07/ways-women-writers-can-improve-way-write-men-part-1/

I think my husband brings up an interesting point……..

Do Women want their men in Romance novels? What a man is really thinking or what WE all hope they are thinking?

Oh if you ask my husband right now what my eye color is I will tell he will guess hazel, green NO Wait Blue!  FYI when people first meet me they first notice my smile and than I blue eyes. Like my daughter they do change colors so I can’t blame my husband they do looking green when I wear a brown shirt and the look gray when I am angry and ready for a fight and blue when life is life.

I hope to be blogging more but if you don’t find me here look for me on http://bookhimdanno.blogspot.com/

For now School has started and preschool starts in a few weeks so I will only have one home for 3 hours a day!

Where I have been you ask? Well I will tell you!

Being from a big family 7 kids 2 adults we get together every couple of years. The last time we were all together I had 2 kids and I was pregnant with number 3. Now number 3 is 4 years old and number 4 is 2 years old.
My parents try and get all of us together which some times seems impossible but this year we all decided to gather together at a dude ranch in southern Utah http://www.rockinrranch.com/
We are a loud group of about 34 people including tiny tots. We spent three days riding horses, roping, mutton busting along with nights of karaoke. That’s right KARAOKE!
I love my crazy family even though we have our issues like all families we still can get together and be crazy! We also had zero internet, cell phone service and no TV! Three days of being completely unplug was AWESOME!

The ranch had out family perform a rodeo which was awesome as well. However I learned that donkey’s and I do not mix. I fell off that sucker hitting my head so hard I couldn’t see for a very seconds or more. I don’t remember much but I do remember saying. “I loved this shirt!” I was very upset about getting my shirt covered in poop. My husband was worried because well I couldn’t see anything. I had a nasty headache for the rest of the day and a little sick to my stomach. My dad was upset I didn’t go to the doctors but since it was a three hour drive I wasn’t about to leave the fun.
I was upset about getting my shirt dirty and refused to drive three hours to see a doctor. However my proudest moment was taking 2nd place in Rodeo!

Finally home with school starting on Monday I am trying to get my tried body up and moving.

Even though it was a family reunion it was also a family vacation for our little family and we learned one thing.
“WE ARE MAKING MEMORIES!” However can you explain two tried parents and four smiling kiddos.

I couldn’t help myself after 3 hours of driving the same long stretch of road I needed to do something crazy

I wore these no stop! Amazing boots from Hush puppies! Never once did my feet get wet and we rode though so much water my clothes were no long blue but brown. Worth every single penny!

Review Royal Wedding SUPER CUTE!

Title: Royal Wedding

Author: Meg Cabot

Stars 5 out of 5

Review:
Mia Renaldo is 26 years old living the dream between royal, speaking engagements, running a teen community center and having the most gorgeous boyfriend Micheal what could make Mia life any better? Well Mia Grandmother leaked “fake” wedding plans, someone is trying to force Mia’s father off the throne leaving Genovia without a monarch and that is only the beginning.

I have never read Meg Cabot before but I couldn’t pass up the chance to read Royal Wedding because what girl doesn’t love the princess diary movies.

The book is written in the style of a diary entries, text messages that will crack readers up to Mia Renaldo’s Itinerary everything planned to the last detail for the royal wedding.

The cast of characters are brilliantly written with all the heart I fell in love with when I watched the movies.

For those who started these books as tweens will love following Mia as she become a young adult having to deal with a biological father who causes a international incident. Micheal and Mia are the perfect couple who have their ups and downs. “You would think that in the enlightened era in which we live, a single girl could have a boyfriend and a career and also a healthy sex life without getting called names. (55)”

Mia comes off as every girls best friend so as the story moves along you can’t hep but feel her pains, and excitement. This book has its laugh out loud moments, moments of remembering true friendships and love.

Royal Wedding is a perfect addition to the Princess Diaries series and I can’t wait to start at the beginning and read all the books in order. Also I love the surprise at the end. If you want to know you will just have to read the book for yourself.

Last but not Least – Crazy Ivan’s Bachelorette Party from Hell Invitation. This book will have you laughing out loud.

What day is it?

School starts July 20th and I am counting down the days until I can send two off and than in August I am sending one to preschool. I am so excited for the new years with new teachers, friends and learning.
My 9 year old came up to me and announced he was bored so I loudly announced school starts in two weeks. He doesn’t seem to bored any more and that works just fine for me.

Soon my little family will be heading north to a dude ranch in southern Utah for a family reunion. The last time I saw my entire family I was pregnant with number 3. So I have few family members excited to meet number 3 and 4. Being a family of 7 kids and 2 parents it is pretty hard to get us all together since we are spread all over the world. So ever 5 years we get together and talk, eat, talk and ask the older kids to watch the younger ones so the adult can play catch up. However this year their will be horse back riding, hiking, tubing and so much more fun things to do.

Update on my eating disorder I am still hanging on to 115lbs and I am proud that I have been able to maintain my weight for the last seven months. I know my therapist isn’t happy after all being 5’7 and 115lbs is underweight but hey I am happy because I have maintained instead of dropping. I am working hard fighting the negative thoughts that come when I eat meals. I am still not responsible enough to remember to eat Breakfast Lunch and dinner so my sweet hubby makes Breakfast and when he is home he will make lunch or even dinner. He has been patience with everything going on and so supportive I can’t imagine my life without him.

My husband works 6 days a week and than on Sunday we still don’t see each other because we have 3 hours of church and meetings afterwards. Oh if I can convince him I believe their just might be some dramatic reading from EL James Grey. It should be pretty funny. so if you have never heard him read 50 Shades and need a laugh follow the link. http://www.douglasbwimmer.com/silliness/

He is also writing so you can see a few stories from his college classes http://www.douglasbwimmer.com/musings/
Along with anything that comes into his crazy mind.

Silly Note By the way I always thought I was 5’5 but after argument I am officially 5’7. So wonder I am eye to eye with my husband on date nights in my 5 inch high heels.

So what day is it? You guess is as good as mine.
I will have more review posted soon I hope. Sleep hasn’t been my best friend again. 🙂

Review Spiraled (Callahan & McLane #3)

Title: Spiraled (Callahan & McLane #3)

Author: Kendra Elliot

Stars: 5 out of 5

Review:
I love Kendra Elliot- as an author she as the ability to pull you in from page one to the very last page in the book hoping it doesn’t end. This book is one adrenaline filled ride with Ava McLane and detective Mason Callahan on the hunt for a reason why good kids go on a shooting spree.

Kendra Elliot will have reader on their seats wanting to hold Ava and tell her everything is ok and beg that Mason Callahan holds tight to her long enough to get over the emotional and physical toll that Ava is put though by the shooting of her sister. All the intense situations test the very fragile relationship between Mason and Ava having the reader questioning what will happen at the end of the book. Ava is brought to the breaking point so many times in this book. Its almost difficult to read but that is what makes the characters in this book come alive.

The author uses current event but adds a twist which you might see coming if you are crazy like me and thinks too many steps ahead. Ava is at the local mall during a shooting and since one of the killed suspects happens to be on the FBI list they quickly take over the case.

Ava isn’t working back at the FBI just yet but because of her location when the shooting starts she tags alone.

This isn’t another mass shooting instead it is filled with a good amount of twist and the craziness that again will have the readers reading into the late hours of the night just wanting to solve the case.
I love this series!

The writing is great, the emotions pull the reader in and the characters pop off the page. Another great read by Kendra Elliot
